Our corporation began in 1990 as security installation firm named Securitec, Inc. .  In 1999, we purchased Audio Video Interiors, a custom A/V installation company.  In 2001, we formed Safety Technologies, Inc., a new company devoted to providing integrated security solutions for commercial,  government, and industrial clients.  In 2003, we formally changed our corporate name to be Audio Video Interiors, Inc. In the preceding 18 years our team has built what is considered by most to be the premier custom integration installation companys in northern Ohio.

CEDIA Certified Professional Designer Job Description:
The CEDIA Certified Professional Designer is a person who communicates with clients and design and installation professionals. Also, a Certified Designer selects the appropriate products and materials to design individual (integrated) residential systems (including alarm, telephone, cable television, satellite television, data, audio, video, home theatre, HVAC, and lighting control). This person has at least five years of related field experience prior to taking the examination. 

CEDIA Installer Level I Job Description:
The Level Level I Installer is a person who works with supervision to install wiring, cable, components, and devices for low-voltage electronics in residential applications (including home theater, audio, video, home automation, radio frequency, telephony, and data networks). This person has at least one year of related field experience prior to taking the examination. 

Advanced EST Job Description:
CEDIA’s Advanced Electronic Systems Technician assists in the training and mentoring of new technicians, interacts with others, installs, troubleshoots, calibrates, programs remotes, works with subsystem integration and control, and ensures that the installation meets the design specifications. This individual must be a CEDIA Certified Level I Installer with additional knowledge.

ISF - Imaging Science Foundation Certified Technicians & Equipment                                                    The Imaging Science Foundation is in the Display Standards industry, and is dedicated to improving the quality of electronic imaging. Highly specialized equipment and training is required to achieve the ISF system standard of calibration.

infoComm Cerified Technology Specialist (CTS, CTS-D Design, CTS-I Installation)

 The InfoComm Certified Technology Specialist (CTS®) designations are internationally recognized AV certifications. All three certifications are ANSI accredited. A Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) performs general technology solution tasks by creating, operating and servicing AV solutions, while conducting AV management activities which provide for the best audiovisual resolutions of the client's needs, both on time and within budget. Ongoing professional education is required to maintain the credentials.

Gold Medal in the Best Electronic House of the Year Awards sponsored by Electronic House (EH) Magazine!

  Over 300 entries were submitted for the annual EH contest premiering the best Audio Video Systems installed in homes across the country. The competition features several categories for entries. Audio Video Interiors' design and installation of a home located in Rochester, NY. won the top honor in the category of Best Home Theater $251,000 & Up. According to Michael A. Pope, President of Audio Video Interiors, "this is one of the most technologically advanced homes in the country. This Home Theater's aesthetics, comfort, and performance provide an exhilarating experience for ten fortunate individuals. It is a testament to our staff's technical abilities and hard work to be recognized in this prestigious national competition." The Technical Designer & Project Manager for the Home Theater is Jason Spence, who started this project from the beginning four years ago.

Audio Video Interiors has completed another Home Theater project that has won a national award and subsequent national attention. This Custom Designed Home Theater located in North East Ohio was entered into CEDIA's 2007 Electronic Lifestyles® Awards(www.cedia.net). For the Large Home Theater Level III – $120K-$143K classification this entry was selected as the Silver Medal Technical Design Winner. CEDIA Lifestyle Awards are our industry's top honors!

The winners of CEDIA Industry Awards, Technical and Overall Designer Awards, and Manufacturers’ Excellence Awards for Best New Products were announced on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles® Awards Banquet at the Hyatt Regency Convention Center Hotel in Denver, CO.

CEDIA is an international trade association of companies that specialize in designing and installing electronic systems for the home. The association was founded in September 1989 and has more than 3,500 member companies worldwide. CEDIA Members are established and insured businesses with bona fide qualifications and experience in this specialized field.

CEPro Magazine has selected their Top 100 Dealers for 2008.  Audio Video Interiors has once again made the list of premier dealers in the country.  The final list and standings will be announced in the May issue of CEPro Magazine.  The CEPro 100 companies are chosen based upon Revenues derived from Residential Custom Installations.
